Thanksgiving stuffing bread cubes with Battuto and Duxelles holiday blends.
- Savory Soda Bread
- Dutch Oven
- 3 1/2 Cups flour
- 1 level tsp baking powder
- 1 generous tsp of Duxelles Holiday Blend
- 1 generous tsp of Battuto Holiday Blend
- 1 heaping tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- Pre-heat oven and dutch oven to 450 degrees
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- When oven is ready mix in milk. Dough should be shaggy looking.
- Pull out dutch oven remove lid and place a piece of parchment in pan.
- Put dough in dutch oven, replace lid.
- Bake 10min at 450 with lid on
- Bake 10 min at 375 degrees with lid on
- Bake 20 min at 375 degrees with lid off
- Bread should sound hollow when tapping on bottom, when done
- Cool bread on a rack
- Once cool cube loaf, place on baking sheet and in an oven set on lowest temp until bread is dried
- Incorporate into stuffing
